Our worship service features a casual atmosphere where you can be yourself and experience the presence of God. We incorporate different styles of music and different instrumentation regularly into our worship. In a worship service at First Christian you'll experience preaching that is both biblical and timely, prayer, community sharing, and the Lord's Supper.

We invite you to come just as you are. Some in our church dress in their "Sunday Best" while others dress casually. It is not uncommon to see people dressed in suits and dresses sitting right next to people in T-shirts and jeans or shorts during our worship services.
During our worship we seek to extend hospitality to all who desire to worship. We have devices to assist the hearing impaired participate in worship. Simply stop by the audio/video booth in the back of the sanctuary to request one. We project the words to various prayers, readings, and songs on screens so that you may worship without cumbersome books or papers. But we do also provide hymnals and bibles in the pews so that you may use them if you desire. Our bulletin is simplified in order to help us be better stewards of the earth and of our resources. Since we use as little paper as possible you will only find a basic outline of the worship service printed. But we do also supply a limited number of large print bulletins each week. As you enter the sanctuary, simply ask the deacon present for a large print bulletin if you so desire.
The Lord's Supper is central to the gathered life of our worshipping community. We practice communion each time we worship together. We also understand the Lord's Supper to be instituted by Christ Jesus alone, therefore we do not exclude anyone from the table. We welcome others to Christ's table as we have been welcomed.
The offering of gifts and tithes is also a regular part of our worship. We give to God out of gratitude for what we have been given. We also give to further the ministry of Christ's Church. As a guest in worship, you are more than welcome to give your own tithe or offering, however, you are not expected or required to do so.
